What's the difference between AMC Black and Yellow tickets?

AMC Yellow tickets are valid in all other states except California, New Jersey, and New York.

AMC Black tickets are valid in all states but must be used in the states where Yellow tickets are not valid. (California, New York, or New Jersey)

These tickets exclude opening night fan events, double features, marathon events, alternative content and special theatrical presentations. Yellow Tickets are subject to surcharge for 3D, premium large screen format (e.g., IMAX®, Dolby®, AMC Prime®), dine-in theatres, film festivals, and premium services; location services may also apply at select locations, including Disney and Universal properties operated by AMC.
